The Ilsa Gromemeijer Continuing Education Scholarship for
Non-Traditional Students Application

Scholarship Guidelines:

$3,000 scholarships are available.

The process of applying for the Continuing Education Scholarship is completely online. Fill out the application and submit using the button at the top of the page, along with the requested documentation noted in the sections below -- proof of education, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.

Adults, regardless of gender, living in either Franklin or Essex County, returning to school after an absence from formal education of a year or more, with a preference given to residents of the Saranac Lake Central School District, are eligible to apply.

1. Applicants must have a high school or collegiate transcript or a G.E.D.

2. Applicants must provide financial information.

3. Applicants must fill out a short application.

4. A short history and goals statement must be submitted in a personal letter with the application.

5. Applicants must submit 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members.

6. Applicants may receive a phone call if the committee has questions.

7. Applications and letters are due no later than the second (2nd) Friday in May

Scholarships will be awarded by check to the winners once the club reviews proof of enrollment.
